It very well may be both; talent combined with hardwork and pharmacology. As a spectator I'm fine with that. If I were talented enough to be on the fringe or better of running professionally then I would be seriously upset about the pharmacology part, but as it is I'm not. That's clearly how the game is played and I consider myself lucky to not be THAT good of a runner. What a curse that game would be.
Definitely better off that I'm best at living in my mom's basement rather than running.
