I believe there was federal assistance last year.
The guys with the rifles on top of the buildings to the left at the start must have been Department of Homeland Security guys.
Either that or military riflemen. -
Runners will be required to provide their own security or be packing heat.

I will be combining the marathon with a family vacation in Boston and New York.
I hope the shutdown will not interfere with our holiday. -
Government holiday regardless. Security is paid for by the BAA ergo all of the HJ entrants. See ya at the finish.
