For my offseason training, I've been subconsciously running at low to mid 7 min/mile. The thing is I'm just getting back into running after a hiatus. I start the run pretty comfortable but hit a crash halfway through. It may be mental too but I think I just need to know that it is okay to slow down to 8:00 or even 8:30. Am I still getting the benefits this way?
