I am against the $5 billion wall. I am in favor of a $500 billion version.
My friends who smoke pot tell me the legalized in store pot is too expensive. So where do you think they get theirs from?

This 30 ft wall is obviously not doing its job. What difference would it make if this wall was torn down and replaced with a 30 ft concrete wall?

I'm against the wall but the fence pictured in you link looks more like 18'.
I would be in favor of a minefield. A wall just isnt interesting
I strongly support the wall and closing the border to Mexico. On one condition, which is you close it not only to people but to resources. If you say you want to close it to people but not resources, what you're saying, one thing, is that you're a racist a**hole, but another thing you're saying is - I don't want you but I want the coffee, mangoes, avocado's that are grown on the land that used to be theirs. So yes let's close that border to everything including rubber, minerals, crude oil, machinery parts, medical instruments and on and on.
Yes it is a xenophobic sleight of hand but it is used, as it has been for centuries in America preceding Republican-Democrat nonsense, to point the finger at the victim so as to keep the eyes averted from the horrors being perpetrated upon those victims and to ignore or rationalize the colossal banditry for the beneficiaries.
Next up let's seal off the Canadian border- oh wait, mostly white people up there- never mind- no political points on a wedge issue possible- maybe seal off the Atlantic Ocean from those Ay-Rabs and Frenchies?
Why is this migration taking place? It's not taking place because suddenly a bunch of people from Mexico/Guatemala- etc... decide they want to take an eco-tour of the strawberry fields in the San Joaquin valley. It's because their communities are being destroyed through the theft of the land. If you don't want these people moving up here then don't steal those people's lands and resources, pretty simple solution.
It would solve nothing, against.

We need the wall with spears.
Emphatically supportive of the wall!

This is actually a decent idea. It would be far cheaper and far more effective.
The wall is a f*cking moronic idea on every level.

In Oregon there is so much home grown legal stuff that the store version is dirt cheap and way stronger than Mexican weed.
So, in legal states it’s pretty unlikely that your former college roommate pot head is buying Mexican ganja off the streets.
Oh and against. This is made up “crisis”.
Against. The only acceptable and correct answer.
Not sure if he was buying "Mexican " weed or not. It was from his "source."
Yes, in Oregon is currently the cheapest in legal recreational marijuana sales. It's not the case in the other states, especially California.

I'm in California, and the legal weed is so cheap it's crazy. The stuff the 'dealers' are selling is nearly free. Market forces at work, here.
Concerning the wall, and 'keeping them out.' The BIG factor many are forgetting is that US population is dropping, and the younger generation is disinterested in having kids. All-in-all, we're on our way to being a far less powerful nation, UNLESS we increase our workforce. That won't happen without an influx of new people.
Sorry to say, but letting people from the south of here in, who want to work, is the smartest thing for both parties. It's going to be funny to watch one of the parties flip-flip, not that there's anything unusual about that.
Against.
I live in Arizona, about 80 minutes from a very large border wall on the Arizona/Mexico border. It stretches across a lot of Arizona and into California... you can drive right along side it on Interstate 8 for hours. And while it's not a complete border, it's pretty heavily patrolled with drones, agents etc. There are literally mountains on the border in areas, which are so rugged that I doubt they could finish a wall in those areas in the next three presidential terms.
With that said, I work about two miles from a very heavily traveled migrant corridor--a large valley/wash through the desert. And while the traffic has slowed considerably in the last few years, there is still some travel by illegal immigrants.
So, 1. Apparently the wall doesn't work. Because there will always be a way around/under/over it and 2. What is going on now, has been going on seemingly forever, so this is definitely not a crisis.
Not forgetting that it's ridiculously expensive, it's bad for wildlife and bad for business. When a bag of grapes start costing $23 because they don't have illegal immigrants picking them and have to pay actual minimum wage.. well, have fun with that. Just up the funding to weed out the bad apples, but leave it alone. Things are fine right now.
Trump: Here is data justifying the need for a wall.
Dems: We refuse to believe your data.
>
Trump: You once supported the idea of a wall because of illegal immigration.
Dems: That was then and now we have come to realize a wall is immoral for reasons we cannot explain.
>
Trump; Walls are effective.
Dems: Walls are old technology so they won't work. We need more new technology that has so far failed.
>
Trump: We need to protect America and Americans.
Dems: As long as we live in our gated communities, we don't care.
>
Trump: But you supported and financed building walls for other countries such as Israel and Jordan. Why not a wall for America.
Dems: Becasue a wall will work there but won't work here. Besides a wall is immoral.
>
Trump: But we are only asking for $5 billion.
Dems: That is too much for we need to spend more on welfare for illegal aliens.
>
Trump: But Americans are being killed, attacked on the streets, and so forth by illegal aliens.
Dems: How dare you say anything bad about illegal aliens. They are the bedrock of America as long as they continue to vote Democrat.
>
Trump: How about a compromise.
Dems: We do not compromise, ever.

Well, weed is a hell of a lot cheaper than cocaine or heroin (I’m guessing it’s much more easily made and grown?).
I was personally never a weed smoker, but having lived in California and my ex had a green card to get it legally, I can’t imagine wanting the less pure stuff versus store-bought.
In either case, even beyond price, I still believe in the legalization of drugs.
For increased southern border security.
For legal immigration.
I immigrated to the United States - legally.
