My goal is to reach 80 miles a week starting from January 6 to April 14, then I want to maintain it till Cross Country season. This is what I plan on running an what I have already run. I was unsure if there was a better way to do this, so I decided I'll just post to the (Training Advice/Discussion) thread. Now this training plan I have is what works for me, I would like to keep some of the mileage routines I have. A lot critiquing would be very helpful. Also, keep in mind I'm only a sophomore in High school, not an expert.
Sunday- Weekly reset day/ Recovery; average 7:10- 7 flat per mile
Monday- High-Intensity long run; average 6:50-6:40 per mile
Tuesday- First 3 weeks VVo2 x3 miles @ 5:30 per mile including wm up and cl down mileage, 1:30 rest: week 4 through week 14 are recovery days @ low intensity; average 7 min per mile
Wednesday- Mileage between wm up & cl down; Average 6:20-6:40 per mile
Thursday- Long run recovery; 7:20 per mile
Friday- Threshold w/pickup sprints afterward and leg drain
Saturday- Vo2 run very easy; AM run & PM run w/ some light ballistic stretching
