I must confess about a pan handler.
God works in mysterious ways, a great example, went to buy
a bedpan for a loved one. I saw an elderly black man wearing
glasses with a walker making eye contact with me.
Until he got within, three feet he nicely asked,
"Sir, can you spare a two dollars so I can get something to eat."
He had a gleam in his eye and normally I would say, "I just put all my
money in the gas tank". But I reached into my pocket which
had to contained about three dollars and change. He held his hand out
and I gave him all the change in my pocket." He smiled and said,
a blessing to the lord.
I got into my car looked to see where he had gone? Wasn't there at all.
Lesson: I keep a lot of change in my pocket for that reason, but
that encounter although frightened me. I felt good about the deed.
You never know who you'll meet in time of need.
