Murphy is trained by Salazar directly.

The entire men's BTC crew including coach was at Duniway track in Portland yesterday doing hills and 200s and El Centro was NOT in attendance.
That's because he's at altitude with Scott, Hill, and Hughes.

Why did Centro leave NOP?
Centro left NOP because he was frustrated with the young blood, Clayton Murphy, consistently out performing him in workouts and races.
The 3 new NOP boys look happy!

He was also with the whole team watching the Bachelor the other night, per Quigley and others' insta stories.
So he's an idiot.

Definitely seems strange that he'd announce this big move to Seattle/UW and then go to BTC, right?
So he's a flake.
Great stuff.
Switching coaches and sites over and over, "The Late Webb Roll." He's done.
Before you all get bent out of shape about Centro coaching/not coaching at UW, you do realize that part of the reason that Centro and many other hi-profile track & field athletes get put on as volunteer assistant coaches at NCAA schools (besides sugar coating the coaching staff) is so they can get access to that school's facilities, including weight room, access to athletic trainers, etc.
You wouldn't want to see guys like him waiting in line to use the weight machines at LA Fitness like the rest of you? And I'll bet that most LA Fitness don't have an Alter-G treadmill.
Just sayin'
What ever happened to being coached by daddy guess that didn't work out
I find it so bizarre that you Yanks look for every reason possible to denigrate what should be a hero to you. Your lot has been horrible for decades now, and one of your boys wins the Olympic gold in the premier middle distance event. Despite, you speak poorly of him and criticise his every move. What would actually make you happy then? It seems that's impossible to achieve.
He can definitely still run a fast 1500! But I wouldn't be too surprised if he's gearing up for the 5k after 2020. this is the only way his move makes sense. Remember Schumacher has had two athletes run faster than Galen over 5k.
That and the Bowerman Babes.
When Matt Centrowitz got the Manhattan coaching gig, I don't think that Matthew wanted to move to New York to train under him.

Great post.
The BB ref at the end was icing on cake
I'm sure if Schumacher got Tegenkamp and Solinsky sub 13 for 5k he could get Centro under 13:10. Why not?
With that Centro juice anything is possible. But seriously. Does this rule out any PEDs for Centro? BTC is the clean group right?
I was never a fan of Centro due to the allegations around NOP. Have to admit I like him a bit more now assuming that he left due to being fed-up with the nonsense reportedly going on there.
Now if Hassey would leave NOP as well I might start to like her as well - and have some hope of her having a continuous streak of a few good seasons strung together without injury due to being run into the ground at NOP.

My goodness, can you at least spell her name correctly?

I honestly couldn't be bothered to look it up. Maybe once she moves out of NOP I will respect her enough to put in the effort.
