I've signed up for a hilly 50 mile-ish race this summer.
Last year I ran a hilly 50 miler (10k feet of vertical) in 11 hours.
This time I'd like to be a little faster so I was considering following one of the marathon plans to pick up some speed.
But I was wondering if anyone had some good/better ideas?
Background: 41 year old male. Ran 1400 miles last year had a long break but raced a lot of triathlons in my twenties.
