this happens more than you would think symptoms showing up on patellas but I also know a runner who had shoulder/back tightness(doesnt lift)
when I went in for the 25hydroxy test(valid test for VitD level) they said not to worry as long as your below 90. That's where I went for a second opinion didn't waste time/money with Docs went to a certified nutritionist which is how I arrived at supplement regimen.
There are several forms of Magnesium the Glycinate form was suggested because its not likely to cause gastrointestinal upset. You can get this at a local health food store. I took 600mg spaced out 3xday not always with a meal sometimes with fruit/snack.
Like VItD VItamin K2 in the MK7 form is Fat Soluble so you dont want to overdose or you'll have similar symptoms as too much VitD. Thats why I only took 45mcg/2xweek. VItamin K role is to direct Calcium into Bones. **I also currently take 3mg Boron Glycinate which among many things is supposed to metabolize Ca,Mg to remineralize the Bone.
I haven't taken any VitaminD in 1.5yrs. I don't neglect Calcium eating lots of Yogurt not a big fan of reg milk. When I don't take as much Dairy from foods I do take a Calcium Citrate (500mg) I was on the above regimen for 6months and slowly could feel no hitch in the stride and avoided time off. I am now on a lower dose full spectrum minerals in the glycinate form for maintenance. Nutritionist noted (and she sold MultiVitamins) that Minerals taken by themselves are delivered to your cells more efficiently vs taking an altogether MultiVitamin/mineral. Minerals importance is especially true since our soil is being depleted.
