First off. This is no joke! And I apologize for the long post
So I have this friend. He calls himself an online fitness trainer. He has no college degree at all. Just one of those guys that lift a lot of weights when he was young and learned through the ropes.
He literally has mastered the art of scamming people online for money.
He put together this 30 day fat loss program what it basically is his video workouts of him doing basic work out poses things like push-ups, squats, Burpee’s, jump rope, etc. It does have a PDF file a very basic nutrition information
He run several ads online that take people to a page. The page is basically propaganda trying to scam people into buying the program for $200. It uses all of the common propaganda techniques from by now, free gifts, guaranteed results or money back, etc. etc. etc. before and after.
He uses email funnels. Basically an email funnel for those of you that don’t know is when you collect email addresses by offering a free gift if they sign up. you send automated emails to that email for several days. His emails include useful information, but at some point make offers to sell his program.
He also advertise on social media through videos and then get people to sign up for his online program.
I am not sure what to think of this. When I go to his website, it is full of BS and guarantees that he simply cannot hold. He claims that he gets an average of one person to join his fat loss program a day and that allows him to generate over a quarter million dollars per year. He also makes money getting people to sign up for click funnels. Basically people get on his email list and they receive automated emails With false stories about how click funnels changed his life. They then sign up for free trial and he makes commission on that.
I’ll be honest, I’m kind of jealous of him. He never has to go to a job and he basically gets to enjoy every day and work anywhere. Although he does work hard coming up with other ways of getting money from people on the Internet. I’m not sure what to think of this.
I guess he created the fprogram and certainly has the right to sell it and promote it and make money… But it’s just the sleazy advertising that leaves me with a bad taste. I guess all major American corporations you similar techniques on television.
Anyone ever hear of this? What are your thoughts? It is a legit way to make money and if I parallel what he’s doing, it probably would work for me.
