Why did you call it a catfight? Is it because this is a male website and that's what you choose to call two women who fight instead of just saying two women were fighting?

Chick sounds toxic. Sounds like it's everyone else's fault.
"Im not seeking sympathy..." Uh-huh, right.
This fight happened 11 months ago, and the quote that you reference was addressing her move out of the US Olympic Training Center, not the fight.
I thought Bowie was really small (like 5'4" / 115), but she is listed as 5'9" / 121.
Miller-Weeble is listed as 6'1" / 152.
Against most women , a 5'9" World Champion sprinter would kill you in any kind of fight, but not against Miller.
It's too bad they let it get to them. I wonder if the male sprinters that train together ever fight?

"Bowie says she and former teammate and Olympic champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo were involved in a physical altercation that developed from a disagreement the two sprinters had during a training session.
Although Bowie said the dispute resulted in her bleeding from the head, she said she did not feel adequately supported by her management team afterwards. "

Torrie Bowie cannot fight Shaunae.
Shaunae can only fight someone like Noah Lyles- a random name (or basically any male) and those shot put and discus/hammer girls.

I am just amazed that the sexist title of this thread has been allowed to stand, and that posts complaining about it were in fact deleted.
(I report the post asking for a new title to be added, but I see no action on that.)

I dunno, I don't think it's that sexist. Untrained females fight differently than untrained men. Is it sexist to call a fight between untrained men a 'fist fight' or a 'brawl'. Who knows, the men might have been rolling around on the ground yowling, pulling hair and trying to scratch each other's eyes out. Why is it presumed they were swinging fists?
It's not a remark on the sexes of the participants, it a remark on the presumed fighting style of 2 untrained females fighting. No one calls trained MMA female fights 'cat fights'. Why not? Because their fights don't resemble a catfight one bit. If it was just a sexist tag though, then we'd call female MMA fights 'catfights.' We don't call women's hockey fights 'catfights.' etc etc etc etc etc
Something can be accurately descriptive without being offensively sexist....well unless you want them to be I guess.

It is called a "cat fight" because women usually have long nails and the tend to scratch when fighting. Meanwhile men punch, kick, use head buts, etc. Hopefully, that clears it up.
