Hey all,
I am a 16 year old sophomore male. I have been running for a little over a year now and I have a 5k pr of 16:31 off half assed training. My dream is to one day go to the state meet for xc and track and break the school mile (4:21) and 2 mile (9:36) records. However, beginning over the past couple months I have noticed it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to run because I have a growing curve in my back. When I first started running freshman year, I had around a 52 degree curve in my spine but it has grown to be over 60 degrees since than. It’s becoming very uncomfortable to run, ecspecially anything fast because it’s harder to breathe, I have bad posture no matter what I do and my hips are unaligned which is causing problems with in my lower legs. Running in general just feels awkward and uncomfterable. I would appreciate any advice from anyone with knowledge or experience on the matter.
Tl;dr- I have a 60+ degree curve in my back and it’s making running harder, does anyone know what I can do about it?
