Beer mile????

6:10
fat:50
When I was a similar size, I was about 6:00/23:00.
But you have two abs, I had zero abs, so you're in better shape than I was.
I'm guessing 5:35/21:10.

Of note, the weight was taken after a huge dinner. I also haven’t run in 6 weeks but instead have been doing A LOT of Shawn T videos. I have like 2 abs.
Also I’m not running an all out 5k, I will however run an all out mile later this week on a track, in trainers! So guess my mile time!
Alan
First, your title says guess my 5k, and then you asks us to guess your mile time?
I would think your 5k time is right around 30 minutes.
5k = 45 mins
Mile = 10 min
You were a sub 16 guy at some point right ?
Obese bmi, low ish body fat% (I’m guessing) I would say slightly sub 6 for the mile and 22 for 5k . Am I right?

I’ll let ya know in a few days when this happens. At 175 and running quite a bit more I did a 5:04/17:59 but that was like 6 yrs ago.
My last APFT I was 11:56 for 2 miles alone after sit-ups and pushups at 180lb.
The “guess my 5k” was a troll attempt at a common thread name here...
I will run a mile just to see where I’m at, need a baseline.
I’m actually pretty impressed with my now officially obese BMI and still being in pretty good shape cardiovascular wise.
Alan
pics? ;)

How many years ago were your PRs?. Mine are 4:20,15:30, run about 15 years ago....For perspective, this morning I settled for going to the gym and doing 10 minutes on an elliptical and a 10 minute mile on a treadmill, the things we do just to stay “ healthy”. Could train more but now a days I pay more attention to the joint aches and pains (knee stiff and chronic plantar fasciitis) and wonder whether they will get worse if I train harder.

You are WAY over the Army's height/weight standards.
So is anyone who lifts. I’m under the body fat %, I pass the tape test by a mile. That’s all that matters.
Alan
12-22 yrs ago.
Prior to these last 6 weeks of nil I was running 3-4 x a week 3-4mi either hills, sprints/intervals, or uptempo hilly runs at 7:00iah not easy jogging but not tempo effort. A few months ago I would routinely run 400s at 1:15-1:17 on the road.
Ok I might do this mile tomorrow maybe.

The problem being is that physics doesn't care what the mass is made of and sadly neither do the long term health outcomes.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
