I can confirm that NIKE doesn't want to match what Centro can get elsewhere, although I can't confirm adidas is the front-runner. We learned with Sydney, they couldn't man-up.

Amazing how much crumb is left for distance runners. And the min. salary for MLB players is $500K. And I think avg. salary is like $4 million or $8 million.
The team is paying that salary. Not the shoe company or governing body.

Can't join btc and run for adidas. Don't be silly.

Asics out of sponsorship.
NYNJ sponsorship cut in half (many will remain on just gear)
Re: Asics
I spoke with a source close to Asics today and they denied that they're getting out of sponsoring athletes and that, as of today, they will have at least eight athletes under contract for 2019 -- Diego Estrada, Candace Hill, Deena Kastor, Jarrion Lawson, and a few other signings to be announced in the near future. Granted they don't sponsor as many athletes as some of the other brands, but the fact that they're going to be announcing new sponsorships shows that they're not going to be getting out of the sponsorship game.
The word in Japan.
Asics will put in concerted effort to sign athletes from the Japan promo office in building up to the Tokyo Olympics.
Higher caliber athletes that can make Oly finals.
It will be pretty easy to spot movement for every athlete. The people who move brands will announce a long thankful message, and the people who get cut will post a b&w pic with a 2200 character novel about their struggles with failure, and mental health, and whatever else to reach their ego-driven “like” threshold. The self-indulgent pity party will begin shortly, and it gets old quickly.

Maybe Asics should stop wasting money on d-list celebrity endorsements like Steve Aoki and Elle, and stay focused on running.
No more Sara Hall is ridiculous.
SARAH HALL is washed up , running no name marathons...joke!

Perhaps but SARA HALL ran the 2nd fastest time by an American Woman last year on an IAAF recognized course. Only Amy Cragg was faster.
2:26:19 at Ottawa
And no Kellyn Taylor’s run on a one direction course is not IAAF recognized.
I am shocked, shocked I tell you!

Candace a shell of the promise she showed.
From the WOW that Flotrack put up, her coach is utterly clueless.
Grandma’s is actually IAAF eligible. Kellyn is eligible for the World Championship if she wants to do it.
Sara has Asics on her twitter profile. Her 12/13 post infers that she just did a photo shoot for them. Asics even retweeted a post of her squatting that day.

I wouldn’t go as far as to call him clueless but I agree that that was a weird workout. Four 150s in 20 something should be a stride for her not a workout.
For sure Boston is a no-name race

Centro to hoka or sketchers???
I would be surprised to see Centro go another brand. I see him joining a different swoosh team.
