Don't know why. I just don't care about Christmas as much as I used to. Also the fact that everybody starts getting excited after Halloween. It's ridiculous.

Lucy had the last word on this in Charlie Brown Christmas: We all know that Christmas is a big, commercial racket.
I'm the same. When you realise that Santa Clause doesn't literally exist you can't help but feel empty about it all. I find it a very boring day. I would be happier on a nice summers day in the sun. It is literally the darkest days of the year now.

It is because you do not have Jesus the Christ in your life .
Seek and you will find .
Merry Christmas , friend .
same but the only day that matters is the 25th so dont worry about it
Organize a Christmas fun run. We need all mobility we can get.

It's because the Grinch is in charge of the country. How can anyone, except the completely cluelessly ignorant be happy when democracy is falling and we're on the verge of nuclear war as Russia and North Korea begin to team up to take over?
I think letsrun should switch out its yellow and blue theme for green and red during the Christmas season.
Christmas stopped being a fun and exciting time for me once I became an adult and got a job. There are no breaks like there was in school and you don't wake up on Christmas morning excited to open presents like you did when you were a child.

Yeah but that's just the same as Santa Claus isn't it? A tall tale told to little children to make life seem more special. However once you reach a certain age it's very hard for anyone with any level of intellegence to believe in such fantastical figures.
Not that I'm saying that mockingly, I truly wish I could still believe in Santa Claus and his seasonal buddy Jesus. Life is better with these guys.
I was in the 3rd grade. Christmas eve, my family and I were at the Rockefeller Center in NYC to look at the Christmas tree. It was cold, we had fun. My brother and I stayed up that night watching Christmas specials on CartoonNetwork of our favorite shows. We were so excited I don't know how we even got to sleep. The next morning we wake up bright and early to see a box under our tree. We got a Nintendo Wii and played Super Smash Brothers all morning.
That was my favorite Christmas.

Wait, what!?!
The whole religious idea is just for Christians; Santa Clause is for the kids. My "kids" are grown, I'm not religious, but we have 4 dogs who love Christmas and it makes up for all my Grinchness. Just them chewing the lights off the tree, knocking over most of my wife's decorations, going crazy barking at the delivery drivers is hilarious. Not even going to describe what happens when they see their stockings on the fireplace mantel full on Christmas morning, Oh my! I can't wait!

I think they do this every year anyway.

You're getting a nice long paid break if you're a federal employee. Whats not to like?
Merry Kwanzaa, MoFo.
Same here. Usually by Black Friday I start feeling like maybe it's almost Christmas time, but not this year. I think a lot of it might have to do with factors like death in the family and knowing this is going to be the first Christmas without that person. And unfortunately as we all get older this becomes a more likely event.
Yep I worked that out in year 3. Like if he went fast enough to deliver to every good house the reindeer would burst into flames.
Haven't they taught you scripture at school?
This year, as we all know, was not that happy and enjoyable, we are all vulnerable after this experience of struggling with covid. As for me, this year was the worst one and really hard to overcome. My grandfather died because of corona, it was my biggest loss and my heart is hurting every time I look back at the past and reminisce on Xmas times when we were all together. It's vulnerable and xmas doesn't feel right for me now, however I realize that my family needs me cheerful and positive. I even tried to cheer myself up with an article on https://findmykids.org/blog/en/origin-of-santa-claus , it explains the whole history of santa claus. Xmas mood returned, tbh.
