Yes. I lost 14kg (from 98 to 84kg) since i started to run last year. The formula is very simple:
Burn more calories than you take in calories.
You lose so long weight as the body gets to an equilibrium between all burned calories and all intaken calories. This is your weight. You can lose weight if you burn more calories meaning increase your physical demand (by eating the same). Like i do.
Or eat less calories, but burning the same amount of it. And any combination in between.
Losing weight is simple, but it takes time. Realistic is to lose 1kg every 2-4 weeks, because the body counteracts as he wants to have an equilibrium.
