Thx you!
This was Yuki’s fastest marathon of the year. After 40 races in 2018 (16 of them being 42K or longer), he runs his yearly best. Incredible.

*** his sub 2:20:00 count I believe is now 84x, sub-2:20s to his credit; some time in 2021, we could see 100x sub-2:20.
Prove me wrong. List these ‘16 races of 42km or longer’ please. I come up with only 9.

I thought he was toast after Boston because his performances dropped off big time, but Yuki endures. Excited to see what times he runs in the spring.
I dispute this claim wrote:

That's Boston for you. Messes up your running for 8 months if you finish it hard, but totally worth it.
I wish Kawauchi would race less, but also that Shitara would race more.
I gave up on the guy after Chicago.
I was expecting him to at least be close to the leaders.
a disappointing effort in Chicagotown.

He says his summer training is crap because it's so hot where he lives. Now that he is running full-time he will move to a better location in the summer.

Is he going to change his training approach now that he has switched to being a full time athlete?
14 it is. I stand corrected. No less amazing though!
He won't start being a full time runner until April. He gave a one year notice for his job after Boston this year.
he's still faster than all US men but rupp. us marathoning is a joke

Bingo.
