Not sure if it used to or not, but her Instagram profile does not say anything about BTC or Nike. Just 2016 gold medalist and world champion. All the other BTC runners say that in their profile. Is she still part of them?

the brash predictions have dried up. Gone is the repeated mentions of her goal being a gold medal...
Everything on Instagram recently is fairly generic running/cycling/swimming photos
I really don't want to be the one to say this, but if she's posting photos of herself working out, might this be taken as a vague but hopeful sign that she's training? And that someone not talking about winning gold every single day just might have retained those aspirations, but doesn't feel the need to crow about them continually at this point?

Very interesting observation - I wonder if she got dropped

I wonder if she was ever in. Was there ever an announcement?

You realize Dick Beardsley was never an Olympian, right? Oh, and nowadays we don't count Boston PRs...
After the embarrassment of Chicago who can blame her for going dark? She's probably wishing she'd kept her big trap shut and not been so disrespectful to elite runners who've trained for this their whole lives.
Yeah, let’s bring cross-training to these lazy runners! Then I will rule the world...
Wow, her personal website doesn't have Nike or BTC listed in the sponsors or partners section. The Nike thing seems real, which almost certainly also means no more BTC.

Yeah, seems odd to leave nike off the sponsors page, but it still shows

Yes, but Tebow also wasn’t any good at football...
Late to this thread, but to say Tebow wasn't any good at football is just laughable.
ANY player that makes it to the NFL is a good football player, no matter how "bad" people may think he is.
Won one NFL playoff game, more than several Heisman winners, I bet?
Tebow was a joke. Nice guy, stupid to bring his prayer crap onto the field, couldn't throw, means well.
Tebow was about as good at football as Gwen is currently at running.
This is interesting - the implication is that she is such a competitor, she has to do something where she can win. But winning the Oly triathlon is not as hard as the 5000 or 10000 at the Olympics... I too hope she refocuses on the track and works on a kick for the Trials. Her 15:09 or whatever at UW is ridiculous, and she could probably be down to 14:50 if she just continued her current training. Also, considering doing all of this having just had a baby is insane.

Refocused on 10 k, count on it. THis time though she isn’t making a lot of pronouncements though. She will make TOkyo but won’t medal.
I don't think so. As I stated in my post above about the triathlon, she NEEDS to win and just participating in an Olympics won't do it for her. While she knows how to win, she doesn't know how to lose, kind of like PRE after he lost in the Olympics, he was ready to give up on running.
Guys, can we stop?
Word in Beaverton is that she is depressed.
Please leave her alone.

Let's see if it's still there tomorrow.
His debut was 1977 and his 2:08 was 1982. Kind of a bigger time frame than Gwen’s goals.
injured maybe? That seems to be a common reason when runners go dark or back off of social media.
