You cannot point to one male who has been hired as a head coach with as little experience as this woman. Here is the entire article about her hiring:
"PITTSBURGH, PA. – JUNE 26th, 2019 – Chatham Athletics has announced that Erin Gale will take over as the head women's and men's cross country/track and field coach. "We are excited for Erin, we strongly believe she has right mix of experience to lead our program forward," Athletic Director Leonard Trevino notes.
Gale comes to Chatham University from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky where she previously served as the cross country and track and field assistant coach. Prior to Transylvania, she also served as an assistant coach at Division I University of Louisville where she worked with the coaching staff, recruited, and specialized in compliance and academics.
Gale ran for Division I Ohio University where she still holds the 3200-meter relay record. After her undergraduate career, she went on to serve as a graduate assistant at William Woods University where she obtained a Master of Education in Athletics/Activities Administration.
To Chatham, Gale brings her specialties in mid-distance and distance events as well as developing training plans, meet preparation, and administrative duties such as recruiting."
I'm not saying she won't do well. I'm just saying men will NEVER get hired to a head coaching job with that little experience. Her first coaching job was actually as a head coach - with zero paid coaching experience prior. For this job she had only 3 years of paid experience prior (volunteered at Louisville).
