From the knowledge that I have gathered from past athletes and other coaches, it seems that first impressions or, in your case, limited interactions can be deceiving. Lots of talk of him having involvement in inappropriate relationships with athletes and staff, as well as having a temper and lack of understanding with athletes. His contract was not renewed at the beginning of the month.
Anderson is a great coach and one of the more respected sprint coaches out there. He belongs in the coaches hall of fame. Hope he gets a head job shortly and finishes up his career on top.
Arizona State will most likely be a female but who?
Who do these schools hire?
Baylor assistant
USF
UNC
Boston
Cal assistants
Mississippi State assistants

No Sir, this statement was in reference to the old kennesaw state director, Andy Eggerth. Not the A&M coach Vince Anderson
My misunderstanding. However, I was referencing to the fate of the past McKendree coach, Michael Mendez. I am unaware of the potential hiring to be made by Agne at McKendree, only that McKendree currently has 3 coaches on staff, 2 GAs and a part-time assistant throws coach. Hopefully she brings in some good assistants and brings great things to the program.

I wonder who made the final interview rounds.
Khadevis Robinson did interview on campus but was not offered the job. They reached out to several people including Helen-Lehman Winters, Curtis Taylor, Diljeet Taylor, Don Babbit, Latanya Sheffield and Bryan Fetzer. Most of those declined interviews. They asked Vin for his input and he was like "good luck." So they went with the unicorn that sued them for wrongful termination a decade ago. You are welcome.
And who exactly is this "cracker-jack staff" going to be (directed at a poster a couple pages back) when Cal usually starts its assistants at under 50k per year and sometimes under 40k?
Was Houlihan retained for distance? How much $$$ does that assistant make?

California is the easiest state to find that info. Just google it.

If you have looked carefully over the last few years Texas A&M has been slowly losing its success. Certainly, they will always be good, but the power base they had disappeared when Dan Waters left the program, and recruiting took a nosedive. And Pat Henry is very good at blaming others and as he has aged I believe he has started to be more hard-edged. He needs to look in the mirror and ask if he is too old to get the job done any longer.
All are entitled to their opinion. The event area that has struggled the most in relation to the scholarship money invested has been the women’s sprint group. Struggled to the point that Coach Henry took over the women’s long sprinters after the 2018 season. The result? A national title in the 4x400 to join the men who also won.
Coach Henry coaches all the long sprinters and long hurdlers. He’s also very involved with the planning of training of the 800 group. Based on the results from nationals it looks like he is still getting it done.
Can someone give us some real info into why Vince Anderson was let go?
As for Pat Henry, he is a sprint coach, as well as the head coach and he is ultimately responsible for the performance of the entire team and program.
So many of you get on here and bash him and Vince Anderson if the team doesn't win the NCAA title every year. The women were 4th and the men were 6th in the NCAA. That is a great year for any program. As for sprints, A&M swept the 4x400m relays, with the men missing the NCAA record by a mere 0.05 seconds.

It's common knowledge from reliable sources that KD interviewed at Cal and wasn't even offered the position, so not surprising that he's now claiming he never interviewed. SO He makes himself an easy target because he talks a big game but can't get a head coach position.
I think it may be mixed up with SSU next to Cal. I heard KD interviewed at Sonoma state. And Darius Terry from UCSB did too.

What in the world is Sonoma State? Lol and why would Khadevis want that?
What about Vergote (Ohio State) going back to Toledo? She ran there and was an assistant for many years.

Is this a real coaching job or is it just a filler until Flores comes back from disability? If it is a permanent gig, is it just a formality for Spaulding...aka the dude who has been the interim for the last year and a half?
Any info or insight?

Why would she go from Big Ten Conference Champions/national powerhouse with every resource imaginable to lowly Toledo and MAC?

Same reason Rosalind Joseph left Ohio State for Southern Illinois last summer. Opportunity to lead a program is enticing to people, even if you do have less resources and upside
Vergote not even listed on OSU site. Is she still coaching?

Toledo is Southern Illinois’ step-brother (step-sister). SIU is a full combined program.
