Good hire for Cal.
That being said, people need to slow their roll on these bios. Tianna Bartoletta, Britney Reese, Keturah Orji...Sheila Hudson. Really. Really?
Olympic coaches haven’t done squat since 1972 when Bowerman worked the IOC.

Great fit for Robyne as she's from Oakland originally but Boston U. has been getting their butts kicked in the Patriot League and she hardly ever even sent athletes to regionals. Pac-12 is a huge step up. Cal could have done much better. I bet a lot of people turned down the job.

KD?
Turned down offer or passed over?
(Or not even considered?)
Yeah they act like she coached them the entire time lol the work going into RIO was already done.
So where does harlis go? App state for a year to state in N.C. pension system? Try USF?

I agree it's a good hire for Cal. Robyne is a quality person. If Cal is serious about track they will increase the assistants salaries so people can live in the Bay Area and so that Robyne and the program can be successful. We shall see.
As for coaching Olympians.....AD's and sport administrators are clueless as to what a coach on the U.S. Olympic or World Championships staff actually does.

Yeah. No. They just did this last year lol
You're bitter... Why? Did you apply for the position and got shot down?
Robyn has done more for BU than any coach in the past. Pretty tough to get athletic performances in a funky town like Boston. No spring weather, just snow and more snow She will hire a cracker jack staff that will get the job done, you wait and see.
Does this mean that Kendra is out?

Look at the post date (July 2018).
For some reason that site is refreshing the announcement. Never understood why some sites do that.
he's headed south not west.

Miami has distance?
Is Andrea really going to slide right in to being a Director? If you want distance to be the focus, certainly UNC can do better than that? Ken Harden (alum) for Director if not distance?
Any other better candidates than Andrea and Bobby at such a prestigious place? Coaches salaries must be great there with staff they currently have.

I wonder who made the final interview rounds.
Transylvania is open again after just two years. Anyone know why Throckmorton is out?

Maybe performance? Their teams were terrible.
