Mike Gipson will be the Director of Track & Field at Cal, and he'll retain that barely adequate staff.

You really hate Cal, don't you?
The better question is, when will we hear an announcement on who is getting it? My money is on June 27th.
Clearly Cal isn't letting stuff out to anyone who posts garbage on this site. None of you know jack and sh*t. If this was a reputable forum accurate information would be posted here ahead of time.
You do realize Memphis is a second tier athletic program with the exception of FB and Men’s BB. Their budget (travel, equipment and salaries)is pitiful and their facilities are comparable to a HS. To mentioned Memphis in the same sentence as Clemson or Mississippi State is laughable in any comparison or similar expectations. Memphis is a Ohio Valley,Big South , Atlantic Sun program. Their out of there depth .

Why all the Memphis vitriol?
I am also going to defend the Memphis staff, as they were pretty good this year in what is likely the best conference outside of the P5 for track and field. Cross country results were not good.
Unlike you, I will also objectively point out that regardless of admin support (I am not close to the situation there) they are comparable to Sun Belt/American/CUSA teams that they are suppose to compete against.
In fact, in the conferences you listed I think Liberty is likely the best all round team and I am not completely convinced Liberty could beat Memphis in a duel meet:
https://www.tfrrs.org/top_performances/TN_college_m_Memphis.html?list_hnd=2573&season_hnd=453https://www.tfrrs.org/top_performances/VA_college_m_Liberty.html?list_hnd=2573&season_hnd=453This does not mean they are not on the hot seat as administrators sometimes do odd things; but unless you actually know something I would suggest not spreading rumors just because you feel some team somewhere is nonperforming.
My point is this. It's ridiculous to have Memphis listed with these schools regarding Expectations and similarities by mentioning them in the same thread. If one does lets include Winthrop or some other 200 second tier programs not winning. FYI I just blindly picked Winthrop...I am sure there great.

Hey Oracle of Oakland, a number of people have been offered the CAL job and turned it down, including the two most prominently mentioned individuals mentioned on this board, a former CAL assistant coaching in the ACC and another Pac 12 Associate head coach.
Names please? Other wise just bs
Harlis Meaders out at UNC:
https://www.tarheeltimes.com/article106961.aspx
UNC will not renew the contract of Harlis Meaders, Head Coach and Director of Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country, when it expires at the end of June, Director of Athletics Bubba Cunningham announced Tuesday. "We have not achieved the level of success...that we expect, and it is time to take the program in a new direction."
Here we go! The Summer Movement Circus is starting to take shape! More to come soon
Not cleaning house. Andrea takes over.
I hope the Duke AD doesn’t read this.
Can I get 1 good reason why Andrea would just be handed that job? How many times does the head get fired and replaced by one of their assistants?
Doesn't happen and won't happen

Finally. I’m proud of UNC. The narrative that you can’t fire a minority for sucking is finally dying.
