That's why D1 isn't the dream. I seriously laugh at all these anonymous poster when ask "anyone have insight on the job or front runners" like if they have a shot or if that's a dream opportunity to get. d1 isn't the dream or living. It sacrifices personal health and well being, and like 'anotherbrickinthewall' said borderline narcissistic.
You can win XYZ championships, but years of XYZ losing seasons and you get cut lose. For what.. for 30-40k for a "d1" job just to say you're a d1 coach. Same as to what I say kids I recruit. They are a 1:56/4:25/9:45 kid for example..saying they are only going d1 and they go to a lower tier crappy school..just to say they are d1 runners.
I coach a Juco school.. great setup 2 year school, kids in and out.. and more than the majority of kids are going d1. And guess what.. I make more than 65k in a low cost of living area at that. If you want to coach and make a difference do it where you can truly do that and make a good living. Why take a 30k job just to be d1
