That is fantastic news. As a coach who has no shot at the job, but still has to compete against Cal, this is fantastic news.

Except that it's not true.

You mean the guy w/ a well known history of sexism at a time when Cal does NOT want that look and only willing to coach athletes he cannot get into Berkeley? Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't put it past their admin. And Curtis Taylor is ready for his retirement gig?
As stated before, if they're after an SEC assistant... could it be Vanhoy? Doubt it, but would be fun to see him running a distance program in the distance dominant Pac 12.
I've read a lot of posts on here. Some guys are promoting themselves as great coaches. Just be aware!

Maybe this is the opportunity to work together Vanhoy and his girlfriend (assistant at Wake) have been looking for? He could get all of his young guys who are running well to transfer with and have an immediate impact of a team.
More Van Hoy trolling. Many of the Wake runners won't be admitted to Berkeley.

And none of those guys at Ole Miss would be eligible for admission into Berkeley.
Maybe a former Pac12 assistant, with ties to Cal's new AD, is up for the job.
The same coach who forgot to enter his athletes into conference?

Will be a lean summer/ year on coaching movement. Not much going on out there.
Two director positions are currently up for grabs at power 5 schools, if even 2 or 3 more high end head coach/director positions open, it’s going to be an interesting summer of movement.
Cal and?
...it’s going to be an interesting summer of movement.
They says this EVERY summer
Check this out! It's a smorgasbord of coaching jobs out there lads!
Heard the rumor a couple times now that Mike McGuire is leaving Michigan this summer

He does job interviews for a raise most summers. Unless he decides he wants a head coaching job he'll still be at Michigan in the Fall. No one else will match his $144,000 salary as an assistant.
