A lot more out there than those listed, but if true Purdue, Marshall and Tx St should pay better. Those schools are all in competetive conferences.

Expect CAL to go back to paying assistants 40 - 50k/yr.
"SHOULD PAY BETTER" Haha This is the NCAA dude.... They could care less what you think... Track and Field coaches will always make crap salaries in smaller schools and even some Power 5 schools.... AD's don't care about track and field and certainly not cross country. There are about 3-5 schools that Track Coaches are really taken care of. Good luck landing one of those gigs... :-)
How? they are paying their janitors more than that in the bay area.

supply & demand. janitors won't do it for less. but there's always someone willing to "coach" for that.
So who are the candidates for Mt Olive and for Wingate head Track?
Any other D2 news?
Any news/movement on UND HC position?
Yep - Throws Coach will take over. Earned and deserved.
True enough but why are they looking for a HC with a distance background?
How? He hasn’t done anything outstanding.

How much does Clayton make in Ann Arbor? Wouldn't he be taking a significant pay cut?

$165,000 at Michigan
You obviously know nothing of the history of the program. He started with nothing and built a really solid throws group past several years that do very well at their conference and also some nationally ranked kids. You ever been to UND??? Not an easy place to live or sell recruits!! No I do not mean NDSU. Justin is the best throws coach in the NCAA. His wife has family in area and a good job. That's why he stays... besides having the best throws group nationally for years. Why leave

Justin is the name of the throws coach at NDSU. So you DID mean NDSU? I'm confused...
In any event, the UND job posting clearly indicated a desire for a distance coach. Given how well DREW has done with the throws, it's possible that he is retained. But he is not a candidate for the head coach position if they stick to what was posted.
If Baltes is out at GV, I'm your guy!
When Clayton leaves Michigan what happens? Henry becomes director? Or promote Mcguire to co head? I would assume they would not go outside for a new head position, and probably hire new throws coach as bottom or mid assistant.
If Coach Claytob was to leave, they need to bring in someone who is committed to putting together a track-and-field TEAM and someone with a vision to do that. The University of Michigan has invested way too much money in facilities the have a bottom feeder team. Sullivan and Maguire seem to be doing a solid job with the distance events. Not sure complete make over with staff, but they need so.eone that has a vision and knows how to build a TEAM.
