I don't know if you noticed but ALOT has changed since 60s-90s and coaches like the infamous Pat Henry would have never even gotten his foot in the door if he tried to start coaching now, straight out of his coaching bio on the Texas A&M website we read..........
"Prior to his time at LSU, Henry molded a powerhouse men's program in four seasons at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas, that swept both the 1987 NJCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Henry earned both Indoor and Outdoor National Junior College Coach of the Year honors in 1986 and 1987 for his efforts. Preceeding his time at Blinn College, Henry served as head coach at Hobbs (NM) High School, where he led his teams to five state championships."
Do you think that anybody from Blinn College in 2019 (or the NJCAA coach of the year) would ever even have a prayer of getting a coaching position at LSU............... NOT A CHANCE IN HELL........... well unless of course you're a chick then maybe Oklahoma, OSU, UNC, or Xavier would hire you because apparently experience means nothing to them.
Don't give us that hard work bullshit old man, the only way anyone is moving up in this industry is if you know the right people or you happened to be born the right gender...... So please just stop
