1 coach didnt pan out and 1 left for a head coaching job. That sounds pretty normal to me. Winning a MAC championship doesn’t hurt either, unless you have something against winning.

The key word is "results from her athletes" I believe the athletes make the coach. There are plenty of qualified coaches at all levels that if they got an Olympic level athlete, success would still happen. Not saying she is a bad coach, but she probably hits the NCAA average for development/ruining HS stars. Nothing wrong with that. From browsing her social media it seems what Tonja is superior at is relating to her athletes, which helps immensely with recruiting, which is what most success is determined by at the college level. And she's had a lot of success.
I don't know what she's like personally, or the "dysfunction" she causes. But from her resume alone, she definitely deserves a look from MSU if she's into it.
LOL.....You called her coaching average. You obviously don't know what you are talking about. Name the top HS stars that she ruined?
She is a superior coach and recruiter. The results speak for themselves.
Is UNC Asheville looking for a new coach??
any comments on the school for running?
Last I heard UNCA was looking for a head coach though as far as I know nothing came out of it. Probably another fake search...promote from within. Fair enough.
Age would show if they wrote Dogwood Relays...
Yes it would! And what a meet it was, but I think Beth is starting to get a little traction. Fingers crossed

Salary:
$30,000 - $35,000
On Wingate's employment website it doesn't list the salary info (just the typical based on experience), but it wouldn't surprise me if that was the salary.
I wonder what happened the Mt Olive Coach accepted the job on the 28th, both school announced it, I guess he changed his mind!
He was hired as the Director of Cross Country and Track and Field...
Bozos, this is a Head Coach position not the director of track and field. It was a way to give a sprint coach the title but pay them less. Matt has the director job and is looking for a sprint coach.

Wingate sounds like a clown show. How can a master degree be preferred when the director himself does not even have a masters degree.
I bet this is Kirby's position!!
I know of Assistant Power Six coaches making that salary range?

Except it specifically says multi, sprint, hurdles coach...
How else are they going to work it out to have her and Coach Glover on staff together? No way they have 2 female distance coaches will they?
Looks like rumor of jerry leaving Michigan might be true. Some of his throwers popped up on the portal today.
Maine, Marshall, Massachusetts, Purdue, Texas State, UMKC, UNCG and Youngstown State are all schools who pay assistants 35k or less.
