Nobody should ever hire Tonja. I did hear Jerry Clayton has been approached.

Who the heck wants to live in Starkville, Mississippi?

like Woods?
Obviously not. There are many more qualified with more successes.
Ken Harnden will probably be ready to get away from Beth ASAP.
I can see Delethea Quarles or Brandon Hon being in the conversation.
Tim Hall has been in the running for top jobs for some time now.
Chris Johnson over at Arkansas might wanna move from Associate Head.
Out if this group only Quarles and Hall are ready to lead/manage a power 5 program. The others are very good assistants.
Sean Brady
Wayne Phipps (WSU) is the man for the MSU job! He has absolutely tore it up in Pullman!!
What’s the latest on UND?
i am a top 5 coach. who else could take a job mid year and then have their first all american within their first month on the job. sign me up for the sec. i am so good and i deserve it, just ask me.

After letting Jerry build the taj-indoor track-mahal at Michigan, I am not sure he'd leave. Administrative support is invaluable to a head coach.
Amen
You know where you don't need an indoor building? Warm weather states in the south like where Mississippi. Where he can get more academic admittance leeway than at Michigan. Also the pay will be more especially in comparison to cost of living. Jerry has spent most of his career in the south. And he will get to be the head man, at michigan he has to share the head role with Henry who is happy to rot in mediocrity. The facility in ann arbor is actually not very practical. and any athlete would much rather be in warm weather year round than have a nice practice facility. Miss State is a sleeping giant that has been mismanaged.
He has run that program into the Ground! A once Storied Power House, now Idaho Jr... Sad days in the Palouse...
I am confused as to why you think Tonja should never be hired again.

you obviously have never seen her coach, been around her, or seen what kind of dysfunction she causes. Pick anyone one of those as to why she should not ever be hired.

Yeah. But Mississippi is a 3rd world country.
Any rumors surrounding Arkansas State?
I have not seen Kyle Chandler at a meet since XC season.
Did he step down? Did Arkansas State bring in someone else to cover the distance events?
Pretty good mid major track team. Always well rounded.
What’s the deal at CMU? Are they looking for a distance or a jumps coach?

I have seen remarkable results from her athletes. She can flat out Coach! I don't know her entire bio, but everyone she coaches gets much faster. She took a 300H and made her NCAA 400m champ as a freshman while at Illinois. She also coached Okolo to numerous NCAA titles and the NCAA record at Texas. She has tons of NCAA titles, 1st team All-Americans and countless conferences champions. Her most impressive coaching is probably when she coached the men sprints at Illinois and in one season made a team of average guys (with the exception of Andrew Riley) into 4x1 All-Americans 3rd along with other All-American sprinters.
To say she can't coach is preposterous! She is one of the best coaches and a great recruiter.
The key word is "results from her athletes" I believe the athletes make the coach. There are plenty of qualified coaches at all levels that if they got an Olympic level athlete, success would still happen. Not saying she is a bad coach, but she probably hits the NCAA average for development/ruining HS stars. Nothing wrong with that. From browsing her social media it seems what Tonja is superior at is relating to her athletes, which helps immensely with recruiting, which is what most success is determined by at the college level. And she's had a lot of success.
I don't know what she's like personally, or the "dysfunction" she causes. But from her resume alone, she definitely deserves a look from MSU if she's into it.
Based off her reputation & media that came out of her stint at Texas, I highly doubt the people criticizing her have any issue with her coaching. Everyone here knows she's a very good coach. But that quality is very low among the qualities necessary to remain employed in the NCAA...

The turnover since that head coach has been there is quite curious. Why are so many leaving? Didn’t she fire the throws Coach with a few weeks left in the season. Something isn’t working well with her leadership
