LSSU hired a young coach to assist. Not sure he has a lot of experience, but that position isn't meant for a person who has been at it for a while. I believe it was an NCAA grant that made the position possible.

Who friggin cares?! Their men’s distance team is TRASH! As left by the “best thing since sliced bread coach” Ondrasek.
Well why did he get fired?

Is that what HR told you? Could be possible he left on his own. As someone before has said, maybe he has the Stanford job wrapped up. Probably no one’s business.
Anything new on the Farm today?

SVSU hired Eric Phillips- mentioned in here a while ago.
What about Western Michigan as well? Still no new coaches there

It makes sense since they're underfunded. After looking at the website, it doesn't look like they have a distance coach still. They were starting to improve a little bit over the last year, so it would be a shame for them to lose that momentum on the distance side.

It was mentioned a while ago, but why hasn't there been a press release? They had their guy since the job was posted in mid-July.

It may have been mentioned on here as well, but I think I remember reading they were promoting from within. That was a while ago, so who knows at this point.

Thanks Reading Comp,
Any word on a source for that? Sounds like a guess out of left field rather than real insider information.
Let me know
Yep. I have a source for that. Seems like it would be a pointless rumor to start.
Just letting you know.
Any news on the Memphis and Northern Colorado jobs?
Mr. Stacy decided to move back into the HS ranks after many years as a collegiate coach. He is happier with it.
No insight just hard to imagine we go another week without an announcement. I’d guess entire staff announcement Friday?!

More and more of us are going on the portal. We assume there will be no distance coach this year. Transfers are imminent. Stay tuned.
I agree also. Nothing is a guarantee, but it helps if one has a good athletic record in college. Say you're a distance coach, you ran distance in college, and your best college time was "slow" ... it's going to be tougher ... a guy/gal with a good personal record has a better chance!
