Will Uconn finally combine? Not many split programs left.
It is very quiet in Norman, too.
Quiet in Stillwater too. The state must not be too appealing for some.
Of course it will be a distance hire - it will be the same as it was at Stanford as far as positions goes

Kennedy is only Head XC. Head Track is still to be hired. Phone interviews last week. In person interviews start next week.
Wilson was head of both XC and track. He hired Kennedy. Something sketchy happened.
Made final call, announcement will be made by end of week...
Still no word on Rutgers?
Any word on Penn?
Any word on Miss St.
Anything on Stanford?
Anything on UCONN?

Go with an 800 coach. Give Francique a chance.

JJ should go get Forest Braden. As strange as this sounds the other position that will be extremely important here is a good director of ops. I'd reach out to the current directors of ops at Oregon, Washington, Pitt, BYU, Arkansas, USC, Michigan, LSU.
People talk about how race should not be a thing in coaching hires. But it is still the good ol' boy system. Coaches are more likely to hire people they like/get along with socially, not coaching wise. People hire their friends and do not search for the best candidates.
Look at UNC. They just released 5 black coaches from a sport that is predominately dominated by black athletes (4 paid and 1 volunteer). They kept their sprint coach. Which largely plays into most NCAA programs. White wash the entire program but keep the one designated sprint coach for 'diversity'.
UNC also went from three paid female coaches to one. For one of the most 'liberal' universities in the south, they sure took a step back in diversity.
Not sure if this means anything, but Stanford listed the Director job (again) on Indeed just yesterday

maybe JJ Clark failed the background check
Clicked on the link again and it now says that the listing is "no longer active". That's what I get for not trusting anonymous posters on LR.
