Did i miss a CREDIBLE list of finalists? Not sure if any of the athletes know this. Lost track of this board when it merged with 2020 board
Any word on St. Olaf?
Wow, thats about as much of a slum dunk hire that LSU could have made. He might actually be able to get them to a reasonably competitive point in the next couple years.

Agree 100%, he posts his workouts, they look like they were written by someone at Altis. He bragged about his 800 girl (Baker) never running anything longer than 20 minutes going into NCAA's and then she gets walked the last 400 by 5 girls. The fastest 400 in the field and she can't finish with them, you missed something in training.
But, he can talk and he can smooze, will go along way in this biz, not to mention being a minority.
Hhmm? Being a minority? Most coaching jobs are held by white men in D1. Most people aren't white men and certainly not most of the top athletes in the sport aren't white men. His race or ethnicity has zero to do with his skills as a coach.

Not to split hairs, but, the expression you’re trying to use is: “Gabe has forgotten more than you know...”
Otherwise, Gabe only knows more than they have forgotten, which wouldn’t be much.

The final 4 candidates that Stanford is deciding between are JJ Clark, Diljeet Taylor, Ray Appenheimer, and a George Mason Coach.
This is the most credible list so far. JJ and Diljeet have director experience, although I think JJ was let go in the past wasn’t he? Not sure you get a chance at Stanford after that. Can’t see Ray making the transition honestly, after so long in D3. I’d bet on Diljeet.
Isn’t franks a miss st alum? Seems like an odd jump. Wondering if the writing was on the wall for him there.
Houston Franks could have stayed in Starkville as long as he wanted. He did incredible things there but clearly understands how to build a solid SEC distance program without a tremendous amount of funding or scholarships so LSU was smart to go after him. There's undoubtedly more resources in Baton Rouge. Have you seen the new football locker rooms?!? They are fully invested in athletics and I'd guess that the third or four (maybe even fifth or sixth) track assistant makes what most DI head coaches make.
For XC/TF Director? Stanford??? Where’d you pull this list from? Some obscure names here from random programs. Am I the only one who calls BS?
You all sound like a bunch of haters if you ask me ??♀️. He got that job because he deserve it and he worked hard for it. Maybe if y’all work hard maybe y’all won’t be stuck where y’all at now ??♀️Did you ever think about that?!
Anyone else here Western Michigan is starting their search over again?
Think about all the clusters the eventual Stanford hires are going to make for the schools that they hire from ha! They should go after Bobby Lockhart as a distance assistance if Wisconsin hasn't snatched him up yet!

How much does it pay?
What's going on with Akron, Memphis and all the other sprint positions that have been open for quite some time?
Conly to GVSU
Any news on the Cal distance jobs? I have a kid who wants to go there next year.
