UNC cleaning house, except for the sprints coach. One would imagine he brings in the Stanford assistants.
So is Milt not bringing Gabe??
Gabe back to Boston U?
Monmouth hires their throws volunteer. Still silent on Rutgers,GVSU, sanjose, app state, Air Force UNC, USF throws gigs? Some of these have been open for awhile now like app state, San Jose, Air Force, and even Rutgers is going on a month. Rutgers is surprising as it is a big ten school would expect some noise.
Georgia College, a solid XC only D2 program with an on-campus course. GC's coach left mid-year ... the school never advertised for a new coach and quietly shift over the former tennis coach to be the Program Supervisor in the last week or two. That's a new one....

Skye Dawson is getting the FAMU job, book it.

About time. Dude went from volunteer to leave replacement to interim coach. He’s paid his dues.
Ya for a year. Wonder how many guys who paid more dues applied. Paying your dues is the answer right right? All these old balls keep saying so so must be true.

Can someone please give me a rubric for “paying your dues”?
What are the dues that must be paid?
How many years must they be paid for?
Are you required to have not been a good athlete?
If you are mentored by a coach in a top program, is that a black mark for the “dues paying” crowd?
Seriously, what are the criteria?
Every position is different and they're all looking for something unique. There is no rubric in the coaching profession.
There are often entry level positions where the head coach simply wants an assistant to recruit and do grunt work with little to no coaching (eg. paying dues). So yes, there are "more qualified" coaches out there, but the head coach isn't looking for someone to coach; so this 'more qualified coach' (whether they're a great coach or just think their a great coach) may be less fitting for the position because they're going to want to get their fingers into the coaching too much which could cause problems. So the head coach is going to go with someone 'less qualified' / more humble because it fits what they need/want.
Similarly with many head coaching positions. Administration often have a set goal of using our sports to balance the department so it's predetermined that a woman or minority will be hired. In this situation the white male is less qualified because that's not the need of the department.
There's other times that the department doesn't want to be good in track or XC because they don't care about it. They just want to keep the kids happy and put little to no resources in it. Therefore the highly successful coach is not qualified for this position because they're going to be demanding of resources to be successful, but an entry level person is just going to be happy to get the job and they'll keep their mouth shut. In the administration's eyes the 'lesser qualified' person is more qualified for the traits they are seeking.
And to those complaining about Ben Dalton- maybe you should learn something from him rather than complaining that he's no good (insinuating that you're better). Obviously he's figured out how to land multiple P5 jobs and from your complaining you evidently haven't figured that out.
Has the ink dried on the Central Michigan job? When does Saginaw Valley post the open position?
Tony Houchin (Lamar) to Toledo
On his way out the door, Grinell's triple jumper at WSU Charisma Taylor broke the school record twice at NACAC U23 this past weekend.
Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if she transfers to Georgia--closer to the Bahamas.
Why all the hate on Grinell getting the Georgia job? Maybe Petros is more comfortable working with guys he's worked with before as an athlete and a volunteer coach.
Source?
Mcgregor to Miami!! They just told the team today.
