they're supposed to stay interim through the entire year. Likely will both be retained because they haven't messed anything up and they're a cheap date.
Makes sense. A lazy solution to the Pete Dolan debacle.
Sure. But it's the standard solution. Ask how most coaches got their position..."I was in the right place at the right time."
Enough about the itty-bitty-budget schools.
What's going on in the SEC?
Is Miss State hiring from within or actually looking for a real coach?
Is Auburn making a change or do they really not care?
Will Coach Fry finally retire at South Carolina?
Is UNC done making changes or is Harliss still on the hot seat?
Do the Rutgers, Michigan State, Maryland, or Illinois really not give a @#$%? They are truly terrible. Yes, Michigan State is competitive in cross but so, so bad on the track!
Where else will there be turnover?
Auburn recently hired Randy Gillion, formerly of Illinois, formerly of Michigan State. I'm assuming he'll be coaching sprints and/or hurdles.
Was Gillon still at Illinois this season or had he already left prior to the Auburn position? The Illini already have 6 coaches on their roster. Or did they bump up a volunteer to a paid assistant quickly?

Any word on what happened to the jumps coach?
He's been gone since last season. I don't know what happened but i wouldn't say that "he left". I don't think he had much of a choice from what i hear.

The programs merged and he was an odd man out. Right?
This is for head coach for Track & Field right?
Under "preferred qualifications" it only asks you to list accomplishments in XC and distance events for indoor/outdoor.
The Throwing Coach at UND will be taking over Head Coaching Duties next season. Earned and Deserved.
Are you thinking of Ndsu? UND isn’t exactly rocking any thing in the throws world.
It is pretty apparent their looking for a distance HC at UND.
Any word on the Wingate Job?
My source told me the Wingate AD well be at DI Nationals next weekend in Birmingham to have informal interviews with a couple of Power Six Assistant Coaches.
In other news. Several power six coaches looking to leverage another job offer to get a better salary.
Doubtful. He’d barely move to hire a football coach let alone a track coach. How far are you taking him from his country club life? He’s never supported a minor sport at a national tournament let alone go somewhere for some conversations.
You know there is always gonna be some movement in the SEC. Just give it time:)
