Some programs just need to stop trying and put themselves in lower divisions- I get it with size, but must of these are only d1 because of how much money their athletic programs have; it would cost less to move them into d2 where they wouldn't be a laughing stock. Here they are by state (ones I know)
AZ:
Grand Canyon Antelopes
MI:
Detroit Mercuy (One good runner this year, but just a fluke I assume)
Oakland University(Never good)
Eastern Michigan University (Men/women have in the past been great, but program seems to be dying)
Western Michigan (Women)
CMU(Powerhouse in late 90's/early 2000's, but now just suck)
INDIANA:
U of Evansville(Never good)
IPFW (Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne), Never been great
FL:
Every school except Flordia/Florida State(FL State Qualified this past year)
CALI:
San Diego State(Don't get me started)
Tons more
OHIO:
Toledo (Some great women, but never there on a team standpoint)
Cinncinati
CO:
Not a single one hahaha
Virginia:
William and Mary(Though have had success in recent past, but still never amazing)
Washington:
Washington State
MASS:
Mass. Loell
I could go on, but I'm wondering if ya'll could argue/agree on some of my picks
thx, and cya
