Let's do some math. Florida State is in the ACC which is where the fake coach claims to have sent a full ride 9:27 kid. Florida State won the ACC outdoor track meet with sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers, and throwers. Many of the guys went to nationals. Do you think national class athletes who are winning conference titles in the ACC are on full rides? If so, they can't all be on full scholarships. Some are on partials even though they are going to nationals. Florida State puts no money into distance yet they had 4 guys sub 3:50, 6 ran 14:xx, and 2 ran 29:xx. These guys would love to get some money to run in the ACC and they are all much faster than your 9:27 guy. A 9:27 guy doesn't score at the conference meet. A good rule of thumb for HS recruits is to look at the top times from a conference. If you can win the conference meet you get a full ride. If you can get 8th, you get 10% Scoring 3-4-5 is good for about 1/2 scholarship. A team who apportions their scholarships properly scores 120 points. All of you distance focused people forget about all of the other event groups. 14:14 was 8th at the ACC meet and that certainly wasn't the guy's PR but just what he ran in that meet. 9:27 gets you a spot on the team and FL finalist gest you 10% for future potential. But until you can prove that you can run 14 flat, you do nothing for the coach.
