In my opinion there is a lot more a coach has to offer than purely writing the workouts, e.g. knowing when to rest, when to push the envelope, what is right for a specific athlete, etc....

Totally agree with this. There are plenty of training plans on the internet. The key to Tinman’s plans are balancing the stress and rest. You’re a different runner than the guys that post on Strava. You have a different life. You respond differently to training. You could follow any of the Tinman guys’ training day by day from what they posted on Strava and get different results.
