Nick is cranking. He will do well.
Nick is doing well but not really gaining on anybody ahead of him, at least according to the last couple splits.
nothing against the guy, just stating facts
Agreed but he's so methodical and calculating, he'll be there at the end.
pretty sure that everybody in this race is methodical and calculated a plan.
looks like he's done 139 miles at this event before. split 15:14 for 100mi at that race and he's at 99 miles now at 15:24. 100 miles in 15 hours is 9min/mi or 2:15/lap and he's hitting about 2:17s recently which is solid. needs another 40 miles in 8.5 hours to set a PR. I imagine he could do the next 20 miles in 3-3.5 hours which means he will have about 5 hours to do his last 20+ miles
totally get you, but Nick takes it to a whole new level. I've crewed him at Hard Rock and it's something else. Anyway, interesting event for sure.

I'm now gonna list the gap (in miles) behind Zach Bitter, the leader.

3.0 4.0 Patrick R 4.5 4.7

7.2 9.5 Zach Gingerich 11.7 17.4
Micah Morgan 9.9 12.5

I actually just updated my last post, so it's now updated up to 13:40. Camille is gaining on Zach, at 8:40 pace while Zach is around 9min pace at the moment. but paces change all the time for various reasons, so let's not get caught up.
again, I just updated that little chart I made. look under 15hr30min column. basically camille and zach are still roughly the same speed, patrick isn't losing significant ground. jacob j holding even too. everybody else is falling back some, though Nick Coury is now moving at least as fast as anybody else though miles back. lots could change in the next several hours, though I'll be asleep.
last update until the morning. expect a lot to change in the next 8 hours.
Interesting that Courtney is in the NY Times front page for her exploits beating men in ultras, while Camille may be having one of, if not the, best women's performance against men ever. She is currently at 120 miles with Zach at115. Amazing.
There is no doubt in my mind that her 4%s are helping her a lot.
17:07:28 or so for Herron at 200km was 18:40:33

thanks
Currently doing 10-minute miles, needs 11-minute miles last 5 hours. So, on pace but a small cushion. Looks like a big battle to hang in there, WR seems probable now but not assured!
One last Marathon! Stacked on the 5-plus already!
Six marathons is rarefied territory, only Kouros has done 7!
Bekele could do 8 mary's in 24 hours.

I could probably do at least 1 Mary (or whatever her name is) every hour for 24 hours straight.
From the tracker:
Camille Herron: 147
Jacob Jackson: 143
Greg Armstrong: 138
Nick Coury 136

Micah Morgan: 128
Oswaldo Lopez: 125

Camille is at 150 miles with 2:18 left. Currently running about 10 minute pace. Record is 161.55 miles.
Is this info correct?

Wow! 24 hours has always been the classic distance. Getting this mark so smoothly would make her an iconic figure.
Camille just broke the women's American record of 155mi for 24hr at 22:43. Has 1hr 17 minutes to cover six miles for the world record.
Camille needs to run 10k in 1:20 and she's got it.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
I think Letesenbet Gidey might be trying to break 14 this Saturday
