What if she hangs beyond 100 miles? Going after that elusive 200k record?
Something close to 20 minutes under the old 100mile mark
she broke the "track 100 mile womens american record" although she split a faster time in a road/trail 100 miler earlier this year, so that's not very interesting. I think she ran 12:40ish for that race, and split 13:25 today. there's no reason yet to believe that she will stop running before 24 hours. she will smash the 200km record by HOURS if she maintains the pace she in on. currently projected to be 2 hours faster, but that will slowly slide back as we go, probably to 1:40ish. projected pace on the tracker assumes you maintain the pace you've averaged for the whole race and doesn't account for how slow your recent laps were. so nobody will likely hit whatever the projected times are for 24 hours or even 200k.
for example, connie gardner is currently on pace to set the W55-59 world record for 100mi (17:10ish), on pace for 16:50ish. but with 3 hours to go it's likely she will slow down and miss it, judging off her recent lap splits.
