Just save the 7-layer burrito for afterwards!
Woody's Macayo is happy to serve her a 7 layer burrito Saturday evening when she dropped out of the race.

I think she will actually do better than people think, mainly because she should be relatively fresh as she hasn’t raced in awhile and she probably learned what to do differently from last year so she doesn’t end up in the hospital. The thing with Camille is while she is not very consistent (will drop out of multiple races in a row), she will throw in a really good performance (comrades, 100WR) every now and then. This may be it.

This might be the first time she will run longer than 13-14 hours. Since Camille is so fast, chances are high that she will be too fast in the beginning. If she is still running after 16 hours she might has a chance of running a decent 24 hour race. But since her own expectations are too high, she will not keep going when she don't hit the numbers she wants to.
Chances that Camille runs a full day are maybe optimistically 1%.
I think I’d rather gouge my eye out then run 24 hours around a track. I’d probably DNF due to pure boredom.
Sure, but the adrenaline hits & you grow into it.
Why the hatred for her here? Typical letsrun misogyny, or something deeper?
is this Camille famous?

Oh, a lot of things. Ultrarunning isn't real running according to LR people, apparently. And then it goes downhill from there. She's always struck me as a nice enough woman who runs faster and further than I do and isn't a boring PR-controlled runner.

Most 2:20-2:45 guys have never ran longer than 3 hours. So they are jealousy of the supreme levels of endurance than ultra runners have. It’s takes a mind of steel to run easy pace for 6 hours.
Try it, on trail terrain and then come back and tell me all about your road 34 minute 10k race. And about how tough you are mentally...
Conditions are looking pretty ideal for a 24hr race. Partly cloudy with a high of 68, low of 46, and a 4mph wind.

1) She's a woman
2) She's an ultra runner
3) She's talented
4) She posts on here occasionally
I hate her. Sage Canaday too
Ultrarunning is dumb because they're all slow and can't compete with the fast people and so what if Camille has the 100 mile world record nobody tries for those unlike all the legitimate world records that I hold and and they are slow and don't run hard enough but just jog and hike and and Camille and Walmsley are really stupid because they are fast and run too hard and sometimes blow up because they're so slow and nobody cares about ultrarunning and and I don't care at all about ultrarunning and am going to follow this race and this thread every few minutes and post fifty times about how little I care about it.

And your mom hates you. She tried to drown you at birth.
No mention in this thread yet of Courtney Dawaulter running as well. She has a much better shot to break the WR imo. Definitely better tested at running for long periods of time.

The problem with your idiotic logic is that you have an arbitrary distance you "believe in", and therefore classify anyone that doesn't run elite times at that distance to be slow.
Well if you want to go that route, you could say anyone that isn't world class at 100 meters "can't compete with fast people" and so choose to "go long" instead. Right? If you really want to distill it down to PURE SPEED else you suck, then only the fastest event matters.
It takes certain physiological and metal traits to perform well at "ultra distances." Could the records be faster? Sure they could. Does that mean the people at the top level are inferior? No it doesn't. Camille would probably crush you at any distance over a marathon (probably even at that distance), but you're too insecure with your own "ultimate speed" to admit it.
