go home, sage. you're drunk.
The pegasus are like that. If your not a heavy runner and you do most of your running on gentle grass then they literally last forever.
Ultra Boost Sts are way, way better.
Your soles must be completely smooth. I love Hokas, but the soles get chewed up pretty fast.
I have some bad news. I checked your Strava acct: 2080m = METERS, not miles. You have run about 1.3 miles in your Hokas.
Still, you gotta start somewhere. Keep it up!
Hoka Bondi
Years ago the Pegasus would last 400 miles
Brooks ghost about the same
Hoka clifton 600-700 miles
Not on strava
Miles logged manually on Menards calendar for last 10 years
Tread is fine
40% miles on treadmill
Just ran 32 miles on asphalt last week
Pics or it's not true.
I'd love to see the bottom of these things.
I have about 1200 miles on a pair of the original Stinsons (mostly road miles) and the soles look ROUGH. I guess if you did a majority of miles on non technical trails, they'd probably last a lot longer.

Mostly roads and treadmill though I did run 38 miles with 8,000 ft gain and a trail marathon in them.
Oddly the most worn place is the middle where there is just foam. There is a 1/4 inch in the back and 1/8 inch tread in the front.

This is average mileage for Champion shoes. But whatever. Continue to buy into the hype.
I'm very surprised to read this.
As others have said, the soles of my Hokas get shredded and even start to peel very early on, leaving me to scratch my head as to how this could happen with a shoe with Ultra roots. The Clifton 4s seemed to breakdown for good at ~350 miles for me. I could push them to ~500 miles if I really wanted to, but not much more.
This was part of the reason I recently switched to the Brooks Ghost 11 (there were a lot of other factors, also wanted something more responsive, and I still do really like Hokas a lot)
But yes, without pictures I can't take this very seriously. You can keep running in shoes until they literally fall apart, but that also means you could have put 1,500 miles on your legs in shoes that were blown out and bad for your health.
The older Hoka models are known for their longevity much more than the new models. Sure they were heavy as bricks (especially when wet!), but that foam was unreal.
have fun with those shin splints

How about 2200 miles on my Crocs? One of them has a small hole in the front, the other could actually last another 200 miles or so. I took a regular shoe - do not remember the brand - back in 1994-96 to about 5600 miles. They were in awful shape at the end, though - both had holes about an inch wide. Before I started running in Crocs I would take a pair of racing flats usually to about 3000 miles. No injuries. Still running 75-80 miles a week at 45 years old.
But that is nothing. I have a friend who put 9000 miles on a pair of some kind of a lightweight racer - again do not remember the brand - the shoe companies hate runners like me, I imagine, because we ruin their craft. And they looked like something I would consider putting a few more miles on myself - no holes, no unbalanced wear. His form was more balanced, and he was only 120 lb, but sturdy enough to not be getting injured, 1:13 half. He ran most of his miles at around 7:30-8:00 pace, though - which I think makes your shoe last longer than if you are doing a lot of tempos, intervals, and/or sub-7:00 aerobic mileage.
I got 1300 miles in a pair of mine and only tossed them because they smelled too bad.
I have 987 miles on my Clifton 1s. No holes in upper, sole is still intact , bit chewed up as it's not rubber but totally fine.
you all must weigh nothing. I can't get anything to last past 350 - and I get shin splits at 280 or so
6 foot 160
I used to think I was extreme. I ran in Puma K or H Street flats until I put holes in them and that was around 3000 miles. I have a pair of Mizuno Wave Universes in rotation that are probably around 2000 miles. They are getting pretty slick and the future hole spots are defined.
To the OP's topic - I am surprised Hokas held up. Assuming these are of the thick marshmallow variety I would expect to lose the outer tread around 1500-2000 and then wear through the foam quickly and unevenly. Keep going and see what they do!
