It seems that the old adages about bold moves, risk and chance clearly do apply here.
It can boost her into a new level or it could lead quickly to injury or burnout. I am still optimistic (partly, because I am such a fan) Even if it leads to a setback she is young enough and sufficiently talented to have another go and might have learned something about patience, heeding coaches' advice etc.
Is she gonna lose more weight now?

She obviously is naturally thin, she would have gone by now if she had an eating disorder. What I find worrying, is the push among young girls in Germany to try and be as skinny as she is, even sports journalists and certain coaches believing that a stick figure is necessary. Gesa Krause was called fat by a stupid sports journalist last year - that's a misguided perception being perpetuated.
Could also be pure luck. Being send home from training camps because of too little eating is not the best indicator.
It doesn't have to be a disorder to hurt, i.e. lead to osteoporosis. But it would have to be outlandish luck to have no stress fracture in about 6 years of high level running/training, and now at least 3 years with senior professional races and corresponding amounts of training.
Look up the report from Bobby Clay who is Klosterhalfen's age, beat her in the U20 1500m EC in 2015 but a year later Clay was gone. Really gone and very probably never coming back because of osteoporosis. She claims to never have had an eating disorder, just an incredibly bad balance between weight and training. The body does not care if it is "mental" or not.
