FACTS. Ping is by far in the best shape she's ever been in. And the only challenge Covert has had this year.
Thanks. Still confusing that he is not listed on the roster. He clearly ran some meets with the team name in TFRRS. Looks like it was a rough year for a 9:20 HS kid. He wouldn't make a good D3 team.
thanks

I agree, she's definitely got a chance if the stars align well for her. It's 5k, no one knows for sure and Tuohy might be a tad burned out by now...fatigue factor?

True, but we'll see soon enough.
These claims seem like an unfounded attempt to delegitimize Tuohy and are you talking about London Culbreath or Kelsey Chiemel?
Bad to make accusations about anyone especially a minor. It’s not funny.

I'm sure she's fatigued and can easily not have it on race day, but it should be a good battle none the less.

I have a credible client that will testify that she drank a Redbull before the Holmdel race.
Fatigued? Perhaps, but she basically said she was bored in winning the NY NXR by 40 seconds over Walters and more over Chmiel and Rauber (they were 5th, 2nd, 6th last year at NXN and all have had 150 plus speed ratings many times) in a time that a year ago still would have been a course record. Chmiel is the one who looked tired on that day. Tuohy at the finsh was smiling and exchanging greetings with Centrowitz as she crossed the finish line, and then just strolled along. But I guess we will find out on Saturday.
Minnesota girls will win the NXN and then cruise to Footlocker win also. Tuohy won’t know what happened when Covert gets out ahead of her. She may even DNF to make it look like injury.
The only way I can see KT losing is if she gets hurt or has a mental meltdown; she has seemed like a head case a time or 2 in the past. I am predicting KT FTW!

While this is clearly ridiculous and biased, I'd love to see Covert (or anyone else) take the lead at any point in the race. Would love to see Tuohy challenged, even if it's just in the first mile.
How is it biased to predict the winner to be the person who won Griak, state, NXR, and Footlocker Regional? If I threw that information out to you nay other year, you would agree that would be one of the favorites to win.
I think that is the definition of unbiased. Biased would be predicting that you child would win NXN even though they only finished 5th in their region.
The wins are good, but the times/courses matter. The times on those courses are not comparable to what Tuohy (or Chmiel) has done. Tuohy ran low 16's several times - one on a flat course, and one on a somewhat challenging course. I guess we will see on Saturday if Tuohy is still in good form, and if Covert can go faster in tough conditions.

She flaked out once, at Millrose last February.
Doesn't seem like she liked losing too much.
She's around 35-0 since then.

Only it's not any other year. It's 2018. And she's one of the favorites to be 3rd.
