Like there was some competition for their turkey trot? 1:05 is very good, but it’s not otherworldly.

Like he got beaten by a superior runner, that's how.
Suguru Osako showed up to Jamin’s local half:
Looks like his brother won the 5k too!

You might be dislecsic, the spelling is close - but a different last name.
I am shocked that in a 5k field of ~1000 runners only one guy was significantly under 6:00/mi pace. Similarly in a field of ~1300 runners only a handful were under 6:00/mi pace in the half-marathon. The weather conditions must have been really tough, the courses must of have been tough, or these races are really meant to be "fun" runs and Tyler didn't get the memo.
1:14's significantly under 6:00/mile pace.
than winning a charity race at 1:14.
He got his participation medal like everyone else.
big pr for the winner. I hope he's running cal international or honolulu.

Like he hit his workout. 2nd place guy has 1:07/2:23 PRs. He's won plenty of races. I doubt he cares too much.

Yeah I follow him on Strava and this was titled something like “moderate miles with last mile at marathon pace”. He was not racing it.

At least he didn’t get second place to a guy being pulled by a fast big dog.
Actually the second place guy your referencing is a really talented runner who didn’t even race that he used it as a training run. Look him up Art has run 2:20 marathon.
Is that his wife that won the women's race?

It depends, did the second guy hear "Gobble! Gobble! Mf-er!"
Also, Tyler is from that area. Looks like he was back home for Thanksgiving.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
