Carleton goes 1-2 again- Mueller with a 29:45 and Dodge with a 30:14 at LAX! Holy moly. That time puts Lucas only ten seconds behind Hornor’s Drake winning mark.

Coffey ran a 4:05 at the USATF road mile championships (8th place). Not bad for an older gentleman.

Chris is the older gentleman. Joe is a young buck still.
Has anyone else realized Bethel could put together a pretty stellar 4x800 this year? Hatton, Klamm, and Lelinga have posted 1:55s. Hitt is the only guy over with a 1:56. UST won last year on a couple of 1:55/56 legs of the 800, so it looks like there could be a decent race this year. Other than them, it doesn’t look like anyone else has the depth to compete with UST’s squad (never thought I’d ever say that)
Scoring the top 8 in each event so far, here are the current "scores" for MIAC.
St. Thomas 170
St. Johns 120
Carleton 108
Gustavus Adolphus 91
Bethel 86
St. Olaf 64
Hamline 51
St. Mary's 49
Concordia-Moorhead 41
Macalester 10
Augsburg 0
Whats up with some of those 10k conversions? seems wonky to me

Mathison's is wrong - should be a few seconds faster - maybe some weird provision with his 5k being hand timed?

I'll take that beer and a blucy when Watcher ends up ahead of Lonergan in the 1500m!
FYI: Watcher is the top returner in the 1500m from last year's MIAC (Watcher 3:54.75 & Lonergan 3:55.39)
This did not age well

Now if only this site wasn't anonymous
Now on to nationals.
Locked in:
Lucas Mueller: 10k (3rd) and 5k (8th)
Tris Dodge: 10k (11th)
Matt Wilkinson: Steeple (9th)
Sitting Good:
Sean Lonergan: 1500 (14th)
On the bubble:
Karl Wachter: 1500 (35th)
Frank Gustafson: 1500 (50th)
Carl Kozlowski: 800 (40th)
Parker Rosenau: Steeple (26th)
We'll probably see guys get after it at the LaCrosse last chance this week. I would expect to see a good 5k from Lerdall as well.

Yeah! That wasn't even close, go big O. I'm down for my beer and burger, maybe we could turn it into a weathered miac meet up.
Cheers!
Carleton is gonna be stupid good the next 2 years.

Hopefully not TOO good.
You can get kicked out of the MAIC for being TOO good.
ACTUALLY st.thomas was TOO BIG. They were good but the only sport they continually won the conference was in track. Which is really the only sport were size matters a lot. So unless Carlton gets 4,000-5,000 new students they should be good.
Lots of damn good performances from the MIAC this year. What’s crazy is lots of people are still very young.
-100m: Ryan Miller in 2nd (and .04 off D3 record, AND guy who won is a freshmen. Great rivalry to come)
-400m: Carl Klamm in 2nd
-1500m: Sean Loneragan in 5th
-5000m: Lucas Mueller in 5th
-10000m: Lucas Mueller in 2nd (barely missed 1st) and Tris Dodge in 8th
Steeple: Matthew Wilkinson in 4th
-4x100m: Saint Johns in 1st
-4x400m: Bethel in 6th
Lot to live up to next year! Exciting development of depth.
With that said, who’s ready for cross?
what is the location and time?
