You're going to be way off on that one. I'd be surprised if more than 3 miac guys break 15 this season. Mueller, Wilkinson and Dodge are so much better than anyone else and I don't think anyone else has any shot on an indoor track.

I think a lot of people are overlooking Kevin Lamb from SJU. A little bit of a dark horse if I'd say so.

Last year he closed his 1500 at conference in a 57, 4 seconds faster than the champ, Gallardo, to place top 8. If Kevin can quit racing like a ca-derp and get out a little bit harder, he could be a contender not only for outdoor, but indoor as well. Thoughts?

You're overlooking a lot of people if you ask me. Sure, the Carleton dudes are arms and legs above everybody, but how does that affect the number of sub 15 performances? Those guys are all capable of 14:30-14:45 right now, so everybody behind them surely can break 15.

Lerdall, William Anderson, Meikle, Wachter, hell even James Mathison has gotta be close to that right now and he's on the low end of these guys.

Lots of dudes have stepped up. There's not a ton of studs no, but we have depth in the 25:30-26:00 8k range, which is definitely the equivalent of a 15 flat 5k (last year Wilkinson and Mueller went ~25:30 and both sub 15).

Healthy Carleton has a legit shot at sweeping 600-5000. Their biggest problems are Klamm in the 600, Hatton and Kozlowski in the 800, and Wachter in anything that he runs.

Guarantee they will be getting their flu shots this year and taking another crack at it.

600, 800 and Mile are the undefended championships (that Letsrun MIAC guys care about) so watch for Carleton to try to focus Mueller and Wilkinson at the mile/3k this year, get JCG ready to attempt the 600/800 double (he was planning on it last year), and let Dodge and Meikle take on the 5k.

Last year, Carleton only raced their guys in a ton of events to try and take the team title. Without DCG, they have no chance, even with their stud top group. I bet they back down and just focus on racing their specialty events. They will probably dominate the distance events, and leave the mile/1k untouched

Steeple will be the premier MIAC event this year. Rosenau + Wilkinson, two potential AAs going at it. Sub 9:15? Definitely a few more that could be under 9:30

I'm excited for the Wachter vs. Loneran battle in the mile/1500 this year.

Also, I'm taking little Joey C-G making to nationals in the 800 this year- guy is a talent.

Rumor has it Alec Getzloff has been putting in 100 mile weeks. Watch out for him in the 10k outdoors!

You mean pre-outdoor? Doesn't mean anything until indoor track is in the winter olympics.
