Alcoholics can eliminate all drinks from their house.
Drug addicts can eliminate buying their drug.
Gamblers can stay out of gambling houses.
Etc.
Opinions anyone?

By the same logic, sex addicts can avoid porn and whichever gender they find attractive.

That's not logic you that you state, that is pure lunacy.
I feel as though sex addiction is one of the best addictions out there. Drugs, cigs and alcohol can kill you. Assuming you’re having consentual, legal sex there’s nothing wrong with wanting to have sex or having a lot of sex
If I was a hot girl I would totally be a sex addict. For anyone else, too much work.

Sex addiction is real, and it’s not about having a lot of sex. It’s more like when the desire for it has taken over a person’s life, or a huge portion of it. A heterosexual male sex addict might, for instance, find it extremely difficult not to stare at an attractive woman in a public place, even though he knows that he is probably looking creepy. At heart, he may be just as moral as the average guy, or more so. But unfortunately he has a compulsion that he is not able to control.
So you're saying all heterosexual males are basically sex addicts because we stare?

Yeah, my opinion is you are a moron.
Do you know an alcoholic or a drug addict or a gambler? They have a disease. They have something wrong with them that compels them to keep engaging in the behavior. They can't just eliminate drinks from their house or buying the drugs or stay out of casinos. It's not as simple as you make it.
Well, Tommy Lasorda has said alcoholism is a weakness and not a disease
So there

For LRCers—the majority of whom are evidently incels—sex addiction would be the worst double ever.
I think it is a nasty addiction. If you have morals and ethics you wouldn't objectify girls that way. Maybe I have more morals then most guys because I'm waiting for my soulmate. I don't like the idea of STDs and AIDs. Promiscuous and debauchery are nasty qualities.
If you're going to have a disease, it is the best one:

Coming in a close second, alcoholism:
Nobody is dying is street because he jerk it too much to p0rnhub. People are ODing on heroine and fentynal by the thousands. I'd say sex addiction would be one of the better compulsions to have given a choice between alcohol, drugs, gambling.
I'm not even concerned that sex addiction is actually a thing. Seriously.
yes it has kept nick willis from dominating
Well uh... eating disorders are an addiction.... and you can't survive without eating soooooo
"Worst" is also subjective. People have different thresholds. It's difficult to compare one person's pain and dependency levels to another.

We know from a health expert that Rupp has the highest pain threshold of anyone he treated and Rojo is a snowflake in comparison. There was a thread about it a few weeks ago.

Sex addicts can buy this:

Addicts don't have diseases. That is just a politically correct way of rationalizing weakness and making the weak feel better about themselves. Yes, people who use alcohol and drugs might develop a chemical addition, but it is not a disease. They are just to weak to seek help and endure the pain of withdrawal. People who are "addicted" to gambling are simply weak-minded degenerates; they are not suffering from any disease. Sex additions? Give me a break.
Look, I'm a fat-a$$ who has gained 70 pounds since retiring from competitive running. Do I have an eating disorder or food addiction or disease? F**k no! I'm just too lazy to work out and too undisciplined to eat a proper diet. I also watch a lot of...umm...adult film productions. Am I a diseased sex addict? Again, f**k no. I'm just currently not in a physical relationship with anyone and I like to get off.
Man, I am about as socially liberal as they come, but one thing I simply don't tolerate is the idea that someone has a disease just because they are too weak and undisciplined to control their actions.
