I know that a lot of people don't care, and that I will most likely take some abuse, but it seems to me that Webb has lost a lot of bulk that he had is 2001. Has this muscle lost hurt or helped him. Take a look from '01 to now:

I dunno, but he's certainly balder...
The kid should have started Rogaine (tm) in 8th grade. Even if he never runs a fast mile again, he'll still be the professional champion of male pattern baldness. And that's something!
Webb may have "slimed down", I do not know. But, if so, it is a normal progression as a young runner logs more miles. You should find photos of Berryhill as a freshman or sophomore at CSU. Find a picture of Lunn as a freshman at Rice.I think that you will see bigger thighs and bigger biceps on the younger version of all three runners.
Wait a minute - for a guy, its a "normal progression", for the gals, its, "LOOK!!! Shes got an eating disorder! DO her PARENTS knoe she looks like that?!" (see the runner dies of anorexia thread and all the duke references from either earlier this month/late last month)
Or is it just women posting that about the gals...inspired by jealousy??
Wow it does lokk like he "slim down"... From those pics he looked way better in '01... He must have lost a few lbs of muscle... his bodyfat had to already be nonexistent in '01. I wonder if it has actually helped his running?
he looks much better now.
but why did he shave his legs?
Because shaving your legs is cool. Didn't you know? Hell, I do it. Of course I'm constantly reffered to as a woman or gay, but hey, anyone that says anything just has to step on the track to see who has the bigger balls. Unless it's someone really fast, it'll be me.
No, you can look at Alan Culpepper and the Torres bros and see that they must have eating disorders, too. I'm posting on an internet message board, so I MUST know what I'm talking about. Go ahead and ask for my credentials, I can make those up very easily.
"How much has Webb slimed down"
I would hope that he'd shower to remove that slime. Maybe he lost weight (slimmed down), as he didn't look slimy or smelly in Boston.
Yes, I heard he got a part-time job as a snail handler at the local zoo. This would explain his significant "sliming down," which I had noticed also.
I think you would be surprised at how harsh directional sunlight can make someone look bigger, more defined, especially when compared to non-directional flourescent.
Having said that he does look much smaller.
Having been standing next to the kid in 2001 and again in 2003 I can tell you he appeared smaller to me in 2003.
In 2001 I was worried that he may become to heavy and muscled for his height to maintain his ability. I was wrong.
I am not worried about him. He has the innate ability. He and his coach will learn a lot. His coach really is not expereinced with this type of athlete but Webb has good management and Nike certainly has enough contacts to get these two any help or assistance they need.
Talent does not evaporate only desire does.
