He did in '52. 45.5 split in the final. Silver medal.

My high school is fairly large so we have studs often.

Fun fact, you could break the state record but not have our school record because the state does not convert full 2 mile times.

All of the records are decent but a few things I find interesting:
The shot put record is just shy of 68 feet and 10th on the list is over 60'. They have the state 3 man relay record at 181' with the top thrower being 60+ (60+, 59+, 59+) rather than having one of the >65 and two more average guys.
10th in the 800 is low 1:54.
The 400 record of :47.7 was set in 1948.
The mark of 4:03 (mile, not 1600) is not the school record.
Would that be Lancaster, Ohio?
Not too many schools have a school record of 13:55 for a 5k , either.

Small school that is consistently good at distance. The 3200 is almost never ran alone/for time. Most good runners end up running the “big four” (4x8+1600+800+3200) in meets which maximizes “point potential” but doesn’t lend itself to fast times. For some reason no one has chose to specialize in the 3200 either. For reference the 10:03 3200 guy is a 15:40 XC 5k guy.

Yes and the 13:55 was split something along the lines of 4:38/4:32/4:18 .
