Now showing as 7 seconds behind shalane
How is it they can broadcast the Tour de France for 4+ hours a day with pretty much zero human interest stories, zero useless interviews, garbage commentators and yet they cannot show more than 37 seconds of action for a marathon?
Keitany dropped a 15:19 5k.
Jezus
How is Lagat doing versus the masters record?
To let a former half marathon record holder and all women’s marathon record holder sit and rest for about 15 miles is just insane. It’s over
Usually Mary takes off at world record pace and holds on.
But this is different!
She was able to conserve energy and now it’s a half marathon race, and she pr’d in the half marathon earlier this year.
If Mary is allowed to just chill for 15 miles without being tested is just insane!
Bad tactics by all the women.
None of these women are on her level.
Meb is only going 7:13 pace!
If they really want people to watch commercials. wrote:
If they really wanted people to watch commercials surely they should put a silent PiP in the corner just showing the action. Wayyyyyyy more people would watch the commercials if you actually got to see the race during it.
That's not how corporate thinking goes - they don't want ANYTHING distracting from their carefully manufactured and paid for ads. They paid for the whole screen, and that's why they get your whole screen. The official broadcast is always the most awful in this regard. Secondary channels buying in to the feed can sometimes be better, but no guarantee.

This is crazy. Mary Keitany just ran mile 16-18 in 9:53. 4:55 - 4:58!!!
100% she's doping. That's just not real.

Can we just talk about how most of the elites are heel striking?
Yes, heel striking is more efficient if you're running a marathon.
People complaining about those of us who are complaining about the TV coverage need to get off their high horse and STFU.

I’m here because I can’t watch it in TV. About half the posts are complaining about the Tv coverage. Repeatedly by the same people. Can we have two threads - one about the race and a separate one to complain about the TV coverage?
Or just accept the coverage sucks and stop talking about it?
Or at least include one race factvwith the coverage complaint?
Please STOP complaining about the complaints about the terrible tv coverage.
This thread would be better if we didnt have people complaining about the people complaining about the people complaining about the tv coverage

Looks like he is on a Sunday morning jog. That celebrity chef next to him needs to relax.

It must be the hobby jogger element. There aren't thousands of amateur cyclists following them through the Aps. They think the audience is interested in human interest and charities, but those people are running.
Ahahahahaha...make America great again. Piss poor performance here on the coverage.
