Way to give credit to the athlete there. Strap the 4% on an untrained overweight guy or gal and it wouldn't help them to run any faster than they'd be able to in any other pair of shoes. The marathon is gaining popularity in America, hence why you see more and more OTQs. Has nothing to do with the shoes. And just to be clear, we're not talking about "energy return," that's a marketing hype slogan. This is about slightly minimizing the energy lost during ground contact. Factors such as the transparency of training methods are a much bigger reason you're seeing more and more faster times, not shoes.
